Launch of Spotlight on Your Community
Spotlight on Your Community was a Creative Sligo initiative delivered by Sligo Volunteer Centre, Sligo County Council, Sligo County Development board and Sligo County Community Forum.
The project involved 11 local organisations. It was a volunteer led project which put the spotlight on the fantastic work achieved by volunteers in each of the 11 organisations.
The final product is 11 audio visual clip's showcasing the work of each of the organisations.
The Project was funded by the National Office for Social Inclusion, and its launch in the European Year of Volunteering 2011 is timely as it truly highlights the spirit of volunteerism that is alive in Sligo.
A special word of mention goes to the three volunteers who carried out all of the hands on work of the project.

The project was officially launched in the Clarion Hotel on Thursday 30th June 2011.
