Official Launch of Sligo Volunteer Centre |

Sligo Volunteer Centre held their official launch on Wednesday 24th
January 2007 in the Clarion Hotel, Sligo. The Minister of State Noel
Ahern along with Mayor of Sligo, Councillor Tom McSharry and
Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council, Councillor Jim McGarry addressed
the 150 strong crowd on the night. Invited guests included
organisations registered with the Centre, volunteers, local
councillors, Community & Voluntary sector workers. There were
information stands from 20 registered organisations and many of our
registered volunteers were also present. It was a great networking
opportunity for those interested in volunteering. The Official launch
marks the beginning of another sucessful year ahead for Sligo Volunteer
Centre.
