Welcome to Sligo Volunteer Centre website

Did you know that there are lots of volunteering opportunities available for you to take part in around Sligo town and County?
And so the question you might ask is what is volunteering?
Volunteering is defined as the commitment of time and energy, for the benefit of the society and the community, the environment or individuals outside one's immediate family. It is undertaken freely and by choice, without concern for financial gain.
Sligo Volunteer Centre is a member of the growing national network of 22 centres supported by Volunteer Centres Ireland (VCI). Volunteer Centres Ireland’s mission is to support the development of a national volunteering infrastructure with a network of local Volunteer Centres at its heart.
