Volunteer Voices is an opportunity for people to come together and have a chat about a named topic each month.
A chance for people interested in volunteering (active, seeking or just curious) to meet and share their stories of volunteering and it's impact. Also a great networking opportunity for all community/non-profit groups.
For September, we are taking Volunteer Voices outdoors as part of Sligo PARKing Day on Friday 15th of September. Stay tuned for our exact location in Sligo town.
Sligo PARKing Day happens for one afternoon of the year, in cities all round the world and is in it's 15th year this September. It's open to all members of the public, arts, designers, individuals and groups. These mini public parks often feature planting, seating & opportunities for play, live music etc. It is an exciting day when participants are free to be creative & active in shaping their streets, engaging with their community and actively re-imagining the streets together for an afternoon.
It promises to be a really special afternoon on the streets of Sligo as it presents endless possibilities for social interaction, diversity, generosity, critical thinking & a welcome dash of fun fun fun. Feel free to get in touch with us for more information and to find out how you can be part of it!
